About the role

As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead the design of bespoke-build, AI-native solutions for our clients. Working with our expert machine learning engineers, data scientists and software engineers, you'll have a seat at the table from day zero to shape beautifully intuitive solutions in a highly complex area.

At a Senior level, we'll look to you to share best practice across the organisation and help continue to build the design capability and systems to match our exceptional technical ability.

What you’ll be doing:

Leading the creation of complex, high-impact user interfaces that meet rigorous accessibility and inclusion standards

Planning, conducting, and overseeing autonomous user research activities to synthesise insights that drive strategic design decisions

Owning the development and delivery of wireframes, prototypes, and detailed designs for challenging problems

Taking responsibility for evolving the design system to meet project and organisational needs and providing strategic guidance on implementation to engineers and peers.

Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and effectively communicating design rationale to stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients

Leading iterative design processes, encouraging experimentation and validation efforts to continuously improve product usability and user satisfaction.

Who we’re looking for:

You have previous experience designing AI native products

You've worked in UK Defence or with UK Defence clients

You've designed for, and shipped at scale

Ideally you've worked in a consulting services environment

You've demonstrated ability to influence product direction and wider product strategy

You've contributed to design excellence beyond your immediate projects - establishing design systems, ensuring consistency, proactively sharing best practice

You excel at collaboration and communication - facilitating cross-functional teamwork and clearly articulating design rationale to stakeholders

You can demonstrate advanced expertise in design tools and methods, including AI tools, with ability to create high-quality user experiences and mentor others in their use
