AI Data Engineer
Experlogix· Veenendaal, Utrecht (Remote) (netherlands)·Aug 4
View job

We are building an AI Transformation program that automates real work across the company – support, onboarding, finance, sales operations – with measurable results. As our first AI Data Engineer you build the foundations that make that possible: the data pipelines, integrations, and agentic workflows that turn AI from demos into production systems, plus the measurement layer that proves what they deliver. You report directly to the Director of AI Transformation and work with every department in the company. What you will do Build AI automation (core, ~70%). Design, build, and run agentic workflows and process automations end-to-end: extract and prepare data from source systems (CRM, ticketing, finance, product), orchestrate Azure AI Foundry models in agentic frameworks (durable Azure Functions) with tool-calling and retrieval, write results back into systems of record, and wrap everything in evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails so it keeps working after launch. Own the data plumbing. Build and maintain the pipelines and integrations the AI portfolio depends on – and the baseline/impact measurement data (hours saved, quality metrics) the program reports to the board. Support the analytics estate (~30%). Maintain and extend our Power BI reporting: semantic models, report building, and helping business users answer their own questions. This share is deliberately bounded – the core of the role is building, not servicing tickets. Shape what gets built. Join discovery workshops with departments, assess technical feasibility of automation candidates, and influence the decision per case: build custom, configure Copilot Studio, lean on SaaS-embedded AI, or skip What you bring 4+ years building data pipelines and integrations in production – Python and/or C, SQL, REST APIs; our stack is Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, and DuckDB Hands-on experience building agentic solutions with LLM APIs (Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, Anthropic or similar) – RAG, structured output, tool-calling, agentic frameworks – and testing/evaluating what they produce An AI-native way of working: agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, GitHub Copilot or similar) are part of your daily workflow, and you can articulate where they accelerate you and where they mislead Working proficiency in Power BI: data modeling, DAX, report design Software engineering discipline: version control, code review, CI/CD, monitoring – you build systems that run unattended Strong communication with non-technical colleagues; comfortable turning a messy process description into a technical design Pragmatism: you ship a working 80% solution and iterate, and you flag when automation is the wrong answer Nice to have Experience in B2B SaaS operations (support, onboarding, CS tooling ecosystems) Copilot Studio / Power Platform, or experience extending SaaS-embedded AI features Familiarity with privacy-aware data handling (GDPR) Dutch language skills (if NL-based) What success looks like 6 months: 2–3 process automations live in production with baselines and measured savings; BI support running through a structured intake with satisfied stakeholders; measurement dashboard feeding the monthly program report. 12 months: A reusable automation platform (shared pipeline patterns, evaluation harness, monitoring) so each new initiative ships faster than the last; contributing technical design to at least one larger process-reengineering initiative. Why this role Ground-floor position in a board-sponsored transformation program with real budget and executive attention. Your work is measured in hours given back to colleagues and results reported at company level – rare visibility for an engineering role. Direct mentorship from a hands-on technical director, and first-hire influence on the tooling, architecture, and standards of everything that follows.

You'll join the ALF (Localization Features) team within TomTom's ADAS & ADS Product Unit, which develops the HD maps and ADAS technology that powers real-time location intelligence for major automotive and tech companies. ALF is responsible for the localization features layer of the HD map and the ML systems that extract them from real-world sensor data at world scale. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with applied scientists and software engineers, partner with adjacent teams, and own the quality trajectory of features that ship to customers under hard product targets.  What you will do: Work with a team of medior and senior engineers and applied scientists to develop high-quality algorithms and ML software that powers TomTom's HD maps for ADAS. Lead the design, implementation, and integration of algorithms, ML systems, and data pipelines within your area of focus, from problem framing through experimentation to production rollout. Drive measurable improvements in output quality (recall, precision, latency, cost) against hard customer-facing targets. Lead well-scoped projects and own components within the team's processing pipelines, from upstream input data through algorithmic and ML processing to validated outputs published to downstream consumers. Tackle complex technical problems at scale: noisy upstream signals, geospatial geometry, ground truth quality, and large-scale evaluation pipelines. Build iteratively using agile methodologies and rigorous experimentation; document outcomes so the team can build on them. Mentor junior engineers and interns, provide insightful code reviews, and contribute to hiring as an interviewer.  What you will need: 4+ years of professional Applied Science, Machine Learning, algorithm development, or related experience. Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Geospatial Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Master's or PhD is a plus. Data Scientist

Do you want to work out how you actually measure whether an AI system is doing a good job, and then make it better? We're looking for a sharp, analytical data scientist to own the evaluation and quality loop of our AutoQA product. You can be early in your career (recent graduates with strong LLM fundamentals are welcome), we have room and a clear path for you to grow. In a nutshell Join a fast-growing SaaS company in an international environment (steep learning curve guaranteed). Own a high-impact problem: making LLM-powered quality assurance measurably accurate at scale. Sit at the intersection of AI and CX, working directly with enterprise customers and their real-world QA rubrics. Grow into a Senior Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or ML Engineer role. We invest in progression. Enjoy the perks: flexible hours, open holiday policy, an office in the heart of Amsterdam with hybrid flexibility, visa sponsorship, great gear, workations, and team events. About Kaizo At Kaizo, we build a performance development and quality platform for customer support teams. Our AutoQA product uses LLMs to review support conversations against each customer's own quality rubric, automatically and at scale. Behind it sits a microservices-based stream processing platform handling over 200 million events per day (Kafka, Kubernetes on Google Cloud, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, BigQuery), and an LLMOps stack built around LangSmith for experimentation, prompt management, and tracing. The hard part isn't calling an LLM. It's knowing, with evidence, how well the system performs on every customer's unique rubric, and having a reliable, repeatable way to improve it. That's where you come in. What you'll focus on Translate customer rubrics into AutoQA instructions. Work with real customer quality criteria and turn them into precise, testable instructions that LLMs can score reliably. Run experiments that move accuracy. Design and execute evaluation experiments on large, representative datasets using LangSmith and BigQuery, and track quality with our performance metrics. Build the datasets that make evaluation possible. Curate raw production data into golden datasets with balanced coverage, and generate synthetic data to cover the rare cases that matter most. QA is a discipline of rare occurrences: distributions are skewed, positives are scarce, and resourcefulness beats volume. Build LLM-as-a-judge pipelines to assess system quality internally and make evaluation repeatable. Make results actionable. Your experiments should end in a decision: change a prompt, adjust which tools the system uses, surface context the AI is missing, or flag where new capabilities are needed. You'll work with the AI team to ship those decisions. Evaluate across the full stack. Beyond scoring quality, you'll help validate retrieval (RAG/IR), tool calling, and speech pipelines (transcription and diarization quality). Join customer calls with the team to understand how QA leaders define quality, and feed what you learn back into the product. What you'll grow into Shaping how customers monitor quality themselves, catch drift, and keep their AutoQA setup improving over time. Smarter categorization and routing of conversations to power analytics and get the right tickets to the right evaluation. Job requirements A solid understanding of how LLMs work and hands-on experience prompting them for accuracy (coursework, thesis, internships, or side projects all count; production experience is a bonus). Good applied statistics: experiment design, classifier evaluation, precision/recall trade-offs, and working with heavily imbalanced data. Strong Python skills and fluency with the standard data toolkit (Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter). SQL is a plus. An analytical, evidence-first mindset: you'd rather measure than assume. Product sense and empathy for end users. You'll be building for QA managers and support agents, not just for benchmarks. Excellent written and verbal communication. You'll present findings to the team and join customer conversations. 0 to 2 years of industry experience. Recent graduates with strong relevant work are encouraged to apply. A team player who's comfortable wearing multiple hats. We're an early-stage company and things move fast. Bonus points for: Experience with LangSmith or similar LLMOps/evaluation tooling Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Docker, or Kubernetes Speech/audio processing or ASR evaluation Fine-tuning or building synthetic datasets for LLMs Who you'll work with You'll join our AI team (two data scientists, an AI engineer, and an ML engineer) and collaborate closely with our data engineers, frontend engineers, designer, product manager, and CX teams. You'll have mentorship from day one and real ownership fast. What's in it for you? An office in the heart of Amsterdam, with the flexibility of hybrid working Visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates Great office gear: MacBook, tools, desk, chair, whatever you need Flexible working schedule and an open holiday policy Fun workations and team events A clear growth path into Senior Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or ML Engineer roles

You will act as a trusted advisor across the organization, coaching teams and contributing to Eneco’s strategic architecture vision. Is this about you? 10+ years of experience in data, analytics, or AI architecture, with at least 5 years leading modern cloud data platforms at scale. Deep expertise with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Collibra, including performance optimization, cost control, and governance design. Proven experience delivering GenAI and LLMOps platforms (RAG, vector search, prompt orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails), preferably on Azure. Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy and compliance (GDPR), lineage, metadata management, RBAC/ABAC, and policy-as-code. Proficiency with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform/Bicep) and platform SRE practices. Experience working across engineering, product, security, and enterprise IT stakeholders with strong communication and influencing skills. Deep understanding of architectural patterns such as Lakehouse, data mesh, event-driven design, CDC, and contract-first APIs. A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with a strategic vision for scalable, compliant platforms. Nice to have: Experience in the energy or utilities sector. You’ll be responsible for Defining and owning the target architecture and evolution roadmap for Data & GenAI Platforms, covering ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, serving, observability, and governance. Architecting and scaling a Lakehouse-based design interoperating with Databricks and Snowflake for analytics, ML, and serving use cases. Building and formalizing the GenAI ecosystem, including standardized RAG patterns, agent architectures, and LLMOps frameworks with strong safety and compliance guardrails. Establishing application patterns and “paved-road” templates that allow product teams to rapidly deploy AI environments and workflows. Industrializing the modern data stack with standardized dbt modeling practices and Airflow orchestration conventions. Implementing observability and FinOps monitoring for pipelines, models, cost control, quality, compliance, and performance. Operationalizing data governance through Collibra (or equivalent), embedding GDPR-compliant privacy-by-design and policy enforcement mechanisms. Ensuring interoperability with enterprise platforms, identity management, ITSM, and security standards in partnership with Platform Engineering and Enterprise IT. Leading the Architecture Community, sharing patterns, reviewing designs, mentoring teams, and driving adoption of best practices. Defining and tracking architecture success metrics such as reliability, time-to-value, cost efficiency, security, and reuse rates. This is where you’ll work You will join Eneco’s Data & AI domain, a central hub driving the company’s digital transformation and enabling smarter, sustainable energy solutions. Within this environment, you’ll collaborate closely with platform engineers, data engineers, AI specialists, product teams and enterprise IT to shape the future of Eneco’s data and AI capabilities. DK Accountants & Adviseurs B.V.· Veenendaal (netherlands)·Jul 8

Reageer direct!

Senior Software Engineer | Data Infrastructure | Rust
BlockTech· Amsterdam (netherlands)·Jul 8
View job

BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm. Specializing in crypto options, we facilitate global cryptocurrency derivatives and spot trading, while expanding into new markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take technical ownership of the data infrastructure our trading and technology teams are built on. Every decision at BlockTech starts with data: exchange feeds, our own trade and account events, and the history we query to make sense of both. The Foundation team owns the systems that move, aggregate, and store all of it. We run our own Kafka, NATS, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Iceberg, self-hosted and tuned by us. We work primarily in Rust, with Python and SQL alongside. This is a role for an engineer who has already built and operated data infrastructure at scale, and who wants their technical decisions to set direction rather than follow it. What will you do? You will own the pipelines and stores every other team depends on. When a researcher backtests a strategy, when a trader checks a position, when risk queries yesterday, they are all reading data your systems ingested, routed, and kept correct. As a senior engineer, you will also set the technical standards the rest of the team builds against. You will: Own the ingest path. Collect public and private exchange information and internal trading data with minimal latency impact, and land it in our trading systems in real time. Architect the streaming layer. Design and operate our Kafka and NATS messaging systems for the throughput and delivery guarantees our critical flows depend on. Build the storage layer. Develop real-time aggregation and long-term storage across PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Iceberg, and make the structural calls that keep queries fast as volumes grow. Run what you build. Own capacity, retention, schema evolution, and failure behavior for infrastructure we host ourselves, with no managed service to hide behind. Make the data trustworthy. Design the detection and repair flows that catch gaps, duplicates, and drift, and correct them before anyone downstream notices. Enable other teams. Work with trading, quantitative research, and engineering to make integrating with our platform straightforward, and turn recurring problems into shared libraries and frameworks. Drive projects end to end. Take work from concept to production with full ownership, and bring in new tools and approaches when the current ones stop being the right answer. Raise the bar. Mentor engineers, lead by example in code and design reviews, and influence the technical direction of the wider team. What we're looking for Essential: 5+ years as a software engineer, including a track record of designing and operating production data infrastructure where reliability and correctness are non-negotiable. Proficiency in Rust, or strong C/C++ with the appetite to work primarily in Rust. Hands-on experience with the infrastructure we rely on: Kafka, Redpanda, NATS, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and/or Iceberg. Ideally self-hosted rather than through managed or cloud services. Solid understanding of distributed systems, with the judgment to reason about consistency, backpressure, and failure modes. Systems-level thinking, including a feel for where hardware constraints start to matter. A very strong sense of end-to-end ownership, and a critical mind that follows problems through to completion. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Bonus points for: A background in trading, fintech, or another domain where bad data has immediate consequences. Experience with observability tooling such as Grafana. Familiarity with WebSockets, compiler engineering, or systems security. How we work This is an on-site role in our Amsterdam office, built around a high degree of autonomy and end-to-end ownership. You will have hard problems to own from concept through to production, and the freedom to solve them your way. It is a strong fit for people who are energized by deep technical challenges, a wide variety of technologies, and a high level of responsibility. What's in it for you? A full-time position in a relaxed and modern office in Amsterdam Competitive compensation consisting of a base salary combined with a very attractive bonus plan based on individual and company performance Outstanding performance is rewarded with the opportunity to buy into the trading fund Pension plan, company laptop, and reimbursement of your internet costs at home An extensive in-house training program and an annual learning & development budget The opportunity to work at the forefront of automated trading using technology built for speed and precision, in an environment that embraces AI to both accelerate productivity and advance our systems and models Gym membership reimbursement and the opportunity to engage in various sports during working hours, including kickboxing, CrossFit, fitness, and soccer Regular social events, including weekly Friday drinks, monthly outings, quarterly sports competitions, and bi-annual trips abroad Daily breakfast and warm lunch, plus snacks and drinks throughout the day For internationals: an all-in relocation package and Dutch classes Our culture At our core, we are a team of passionate trading and tech enthusiasts committed to revolutionizing trading through automation. Our collaborative approach ensures that everyone contributes to achieving our ambitious goals. In this role, you will be both challenged and stretched, with ample opportunities for growth and development, both within and beyond your main responsibilities. We invest in our people by offering competitive compensation and benefits, fostering innovation, and celebrating success. Our commitment to personal development transcends traditional norms; we provide an equal playing field, promote reverse leadership, and offer boundless growth opportunities for all our employees.
