You’ll join a 60-person team of Senior+ engineers and Product leaders who prioritise product impact over mere headcount. We have 8 cross-functional teams, including a dedicated Platform team focused on infra & developer experience. We started building proprietary ML before the LLM boom, so we don't just consume models - we train them from the ground up. Our approach to engineering We prioritize customer needs first  We work in small, cross-functional, feature-oriented teams We have flexibility in terms of the problems we work on We own the full lifecycle of our projects We avoid silos and encourage taking up tasks in new areas We balance quality and velocity We have a shared responsibility for our production code We each set our own routine to maximize our productivity Your mission You will join our Mapper Team, whose goal is to produce and service the Process Maps that are at the core of Mimica's product. We found good product-market fit, which means two things: building new features and making architectural decisions that will enable exponential growth in usage. You will take ownership of projects end-to-end, build new features, release improvements to existing components, and take operational responsibility for what you build. We have a bottom-up culture where Engineers identify pain points, experiment with and iterate on their solutions, and leverage tight feedback loops. As such, you‘ll have the opportunity to shape the technical direction, processes and culture of the Engineering org, Chapter and Team. Part of your day-to-day Developing data-visualisation applications and new features around displaying significant large data properties (e.g., insights regarding processes, workflows and metrics) in effective ways, with scalability & reliability in mind. Building interfaces and real-time frontend services that enable multiple users to edit graph data and re-train AI models through their input. Owning projects end-to-end as part of small teams, collaborating with our TLs and Product Managers. Participating in architectural decisions, collaborating across teams to identify and implement product improvements and producing documentation for your implementations. Participate in and improve the Team's and Chapter's internal processes and rituals so that we're more effective. Providing feedback to peers through RFCs, code reviews and helping those around you to level up. Participating in hiring and onboarding new team members. Who you are You have at least 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer and high engineering standards. Strong experience and understanding of React, state management, front-end architecture & concepts. Deep understanding of Front-end performance optimisation techniques. Knowledge of advanced system design principles, data structures, and the core concepts underlying data-intensive applications. Minimum knowledge of Backend Engineering (eg. being able to add API endpoints, change logic) Committed to upholding high engineering standards, delivering clean, testable, reusable, modular, and well-documented code. Experience owning projects from start to finish, including speccing, design, development, testing, deployment, release and observability. Drive to develop your skills, improve team processes and reduce debt. Fluency in English, with effective communication skills – articulating complex ideas, concepts and trade-offs clearly. Bonus Background working in fast-paced, successful scale-up environments or as a founding engineer, with a track record of delivering value quickly and iteratively alongside building processes. Graph or Canvas-based Rendering, or graph/geometry editing. (FE-focused).

An Insatiable Curiosity: A desire to understand how complex systems work, a proactive approach to asking questions, and a drive to expand your technical skills quickly. Strong Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with more experienced engineers, accept feedback graciously, and collaborate openly. A Proactive Mindset: Someone who doesn't just wait to be told what to do, but brings fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and initiative to every task.   What's in it for you?
